Application of Effervescent Tablets in Agrochemical Industry

At present, there are many kinds of fertilizer formulations, in forms of liquid preparation, granular preparation and a powder preparation, used in agricultural production. However, the compound fertilizer produced via spray granulation process has better particle roundness, low water content and high hardness, so it is difficult to be moistened, so the disintegration period is long, which affects the fertilizer nutrients release.

The soil micro-ecological environment also changed: harmful microorganisms in rhizosphere multiply in large quantities under acidic conditions; the number of ammonifying bacteria and nitrogen-fixing bacteria in the soil are reduced, so soil microorganisms ammonification and nitrification capacity are reduced as well, which are very harmful for crops.

ers are applied to the greenhouse, especially the fertilizer taking urea, potassium nitrate, ammonium chloride and ammonium sulfate as the nitrogen source absorbs heat in the dissolving process, which will reduce the ground temperature of greenhouse, damage the crops root system, and then reduce the yields.

In view of the above situations, we have tested some new fertilizers, such as water-soluble silicon fertilizer effervescent tablets from Korea, 482 effervescent tablets from Japan, etc. The application experiment of STE on rice shows that the water-soluble silicon fertilizer effervescent tablets are simple to apply, and only small dosage but high output, gaining good reputation in the market.

Through experiment, we have found several application advantages of effervescent fertilizers:

1) Disintegration speed is fast. The effervescent fertilizer react with acid and alkali in water, so the particle is broken, and the contact area of fertilizer with soil, air and water is large. It also releases heat during reaction, then accelerates the dissolution of fertilizer.

2) Loosen the soil. Volatilization of ammonia gas and carbon dioxide released when the ammonium bicarbonate and the sodium bicarbonate are heated, which can loosen the soil. The combination of the two is often used as a raw material of leavening agent and foaming powder.

3) Raise water and ground temperature. If the greenhouse is irrigated directly with water with lower temperature in winter, the root system of crops may be frozen. Therefore, the water needs to be preheated. When the effervescent water-soluble fertilizer is put into water, the water temperature can be obviously raised due to the release of heat by acid-base reaction, which can save energy.

4) Generate gas fertilizer.

Effervescent fertilizer has significant effects on accelerating fertilizer disintegration, increasing soil temperature, loosening soil and increasing crop yield. Microbial activity is related to temperature and soil permeability. After applying effervescent fertilizer and loosening the soil, the contact area of the microorganism and the air is increased. And the heat released during the reaction improves the microorganism activity. Therefore, the speed of decomposing organic matter is accelerated, then it releases more heat, which achieving a virtuous circle. So it is conducive to improving greenhouse temperature and crop yield. As a result, effervescent technology combined with organic fertilizer or bio-organic fertilizer has better effect.

The effervescent process means that carbonate and organic acid are added to the pharmaceutical preparation, and the preparation produces CO² when it meets water. Thereby regulating the fertilizer release behavior. At present, effervescent technology is widely used in pharmaceutical industry.

Steps:
