1. Preparation Before Cleaning

As a result, it reduces human labor intensity but improves efficiency, and also meets requirements of pharmaceutical hygiene GMP. Therefore, there are strict requirements for cleaning. Now, let's take a look at the preparation of the manufacturers before cleaning the automatic capsule filling machine.

1.1. Cleaning frequency

(1) After the end of each batch of production;

(2) After each shift of continuous production;

(3) Cleaning and disinfecting before and after production;

(4) Clean when replacing varieties, specifications and batch numbers;

(5) Cleaning and sterilizing the whole machine after equipment maintenance.

1.2. Cleaning tools

Tools: cleaning cloth, vacuum cleaner, brush, cleaning basin, etc.

Detergents and disinfectants: drinking water, purified water, 75% ethanol.

Method: according to the order of dismantling >> washing, inside >> outside, parts >> whole machine.

2. Cleaning Procedure

After making preparations, we will start to clean the machine. For different varieties, we have different cleaning steps:

Cleaning steps for producing the same batch

(1) Use a vacuum cleaner and a soft brush to clean residual powder in the module of powder filling device;

(2) Remove powder filling rod, dosing disk, and powder hopper, take them to cleaning room and rinse with drinking water then with purified water. Afterwards, dry them with a dry cleaning cloth first and then wipe with 75% ethanol;

(3) As fore the contact parts with the powder, please scrub with purified water first, then dry with a dry cloth, and next wipe and disinfect with 75% ethanol;

(4) The glass protective cover and machine surface should be scrubbed with purified water;

(5) Clean up the site. After passing the inspection, hang the "Cleaned" sign;

(6) Record the cleaning information.

Cleaning steps for replacing batch

After the cleaning steps for producing the same variety mentioned above, please complete the following steps:

(1) Unload capsule barrel and capsule funnel >> rinse with purified water in cleaning room >> dry with a dry cleaning cloth >> wipe and disinfect with 75% ethanol;

(2) Scrub cam disc movable support: with purified water >> with a dry cleaning cloth >> with 75% ethanol to disinfect.
