One of our customers purchased some empty vegetable capsule by himself, and also purchased a set of machine from us for capsule filling and sealing. However, no matter how he adjusted the machine, the liquid capsule sealing was always very poor with liquid leakage. The customer was furious and asked us to refund and compensate for his loss if the problem could not be resolved within one week.

We have shipped dozens of the same machine overseas up to now, but we never confronted such a problem in the past. Our engineers and designers had to rack their brains to find a solution. But after a week, the leakage problem has not yet to be settled.

In the end, we focus on the capsule. After several tests and investigations, the reason was the sealing solution, since the customer used a sealing solution that was not the same formula as that of the capsule. As a result, the capsule could not be effectively sealed. So we contacting the factory of supplying the original capsules and requesting the matching sealing solution, and finally resolved the problem.

After that, the customer apologize to us. Through this incident, we also learned a lesson:  sometimes we need to jump out of the cognitive framework to find the answer.
