Fatliquoring agent such as lanolin, olive oil, silicone oil improves hair nutrition to make hair shiny and to be combed easily. Other active ingredients have effects on dandruff removal, moisturizing and sun preventing. The addition of vitamin, hydrolyzed protein, plant extract and so on can also bring more new functions to the hair conditioner. Common hair conditioners on the market can help dandruff removal. Some even contains the extract of aloe, ginseng and so on.

It’s commonly agreed that our hair has negative charge. Washing hair with shampoo which is a kind of anionic detergent will make our hair obtain more negative charge, which is the cause of static electricity which then leads to troublesome hair combing. However, quaternary ammonium salt, a kind of cation and a main component of hair conditioner, can react with the anion of our hair and form a layer of uniform mono-molecular film. Heat the oil-phase and water-phase components to 80°C. Add the heated water-phase components to the heated oil-phase components and meanwhile stir them. After cooling the mixture to 40°C, add essence into. Continue to stir the mixture at low speed until its temperature decreases to the room temperature. At last, add 10% sodium hydroxide solution to adjust the pH to 5.5.

Hair conditioner can be filled into bottles, tubes, sachets or bags manually or by semi-automatic and automatic machines.
