1.Introduction
Cotton balls are soft fiber balls made from cotton. They have multiple applications in the medical field, such as bathe the wounds with hydrogen peroxide or iodine, applying antiseptics or topical ointments, cleaning minor cuts and skin irritations, and stopping blood after an injection or blood withdrawing. They are also used during surgical procedures to soak up internal blood. Besides, they can be used to pad a wound before it is bandaged.
Now cotton balls moistened with alcohol are used very often in hospitals, clinics and home for multiple purposes, such as wound cleaning, ointment applying, first aid, removal and application of cosmetics, nail polish removal, and even for other non-traditional uses, including cleaning the art and craft projects.
This machine is specialized to pack the sterilized cotton ball and alcohol (75% or more) into the blister hole.
This blister packing machine adopt frequency control of speed and are mechanical, electric, light and pneumatic integration. They conform to GMP standards and can inspect products, reject unqualified products and track eye mark. We can customize the mould to produce 4 holes blister, 6 holes blister ,8 holes blister and 10 holes blister or others as per the requirement of customer by changing the mould. We adopts advanced servo motor control, the mould changing is easy and fast.
The alcohol filling, we adopts high precision peristaltic pump, the filling volume , even less than 0.5ml is realizable. And the filling volume is also adjustable on the pump.
The working process is as following:
PET/PVC unwinding ---- PET/PVC heating---blister hole pocket forming ---- cotton ball feeding into the blister pocket---alcohol filling from peristaltic pump---sealing with alu foil ---final product punching and output
2.Features
1) This machine can pack products in both alu/plastic and alu/alu blisters. The machine can be split for convenient transport and then installed and fixed by locating pins and bolts;
2) The molds are fixed by pressing boards. There is no need to level and adjust forming mold and sealing mold during installation and it’s more convenient to change them;
3) No waste (alu/plastic) in width will be produced by punching so as to save packing film for about 5000 dollars a year;
4) The end products are discharged smoothly by an ejector to eliminate hidden danger;
5) The operation table is lengthened for more convenient operation;
6) The main motor adopts frequency control of speed. The punching frequency can be set depending on travel scope and material properties. At first, the machine can be controlled to work at low speed. After the operators become familiar, they can set the speed higher;
7) The travel scope can be adjusted within 40-120mm, i.e., the blister size can be designed within this scope casually;
8) The heating plate for forming can be closed automatically to limit plastic waste in a scope. The heated plastic is shortened and heating power and temperature are reduced to strengthen plastic stability;
9) The cylinder lifts heat sealing plates automatically after shutdown to prevent blisters from being out of shape, make plate cleaning more convenient, buffer excessive pressure and extend service life of the machine;
10) The upper and lower heat sealing plates mesh well for lines embossing so that both sides of blisters can have the same lines (dot or line). Commensurate pressure can prevent blisters from curling and improve sealing effect;
11) Two sets of feeder are equipped. The filling rate can reach higher than 99%. The phenomenon of drug absence caused by irregular shape or high-speed operation can thus be avoided;
12) PVC/PET connecting station is set. If PVC/PET runs out or breaks, it’s convenient to join the new PVC/PET;
13) Special feeder is used for different tablets or capsules which are to be packed in alu/alu blisters, including rotary vibrating track blanking type, plate pushing type, inclined screen type, capsule filling control type;
14) The driving station is completely separated from operating stations for no cross contamination and convenient cleaning;
15) Batch number is printed thermally for clear code;
16) The machine is featured by good mechanical performance, stable driving, moderate accuracy, low noise, no obvious vibration or other abnormality;
17) All parts contacting drugs and packing film conforms to GMP requirements. The outer surface is made of SS304 and sealing and punching stations are enclosed by transparent organic glass cover for convenient observance and safe operation;
18) The machine is equipped with e-stop device to protect operators;
19) The machine can also count, print batch number, perforate, punch and alarm automatically. The whole process connects smoothly.
