Different Packages for Wet Wipes

Consumers might pay their attention to package at first during their buying. Good package will take value, convenience, protection and beauty into consideration, while for consumers, some other factors will also influence, such as their own lifestyle, family need, personal preference, economy and even brand value of packages. All of these should be shown by packages.

But how about wipe package? How are wipes packed commonly?

Some common packages of wipes are: canister, flexible and flat package, carton, sachet, reusable package or single piece package.

1. Canister

Canister wipes have had a seat on retail shelves for tens of years. Its main application is to wipe object surface. For American families, it’s very usual to have some wipe canisters stored in cabinets. Of course, wipe canister also develops as time goes on. Till now, we can find wipe canisters which have large capacity, can be opened easily, can be put on counters, are beautiful and even which conforms to ergonomic requirements. Besides, shrink film is introduced into canister package. However, no other obvious change has taken place on canistered wipes in recent years.

There are also commercial canistered wipes, which functions for medical disinfection or wiping shopping carts... According to some introduction of experts, wet tissues in canisters, sachets or reusable packages (which can pack 1200pcs or more wipes in repeat) are enormously used in some fields. Besides, inner packaging is increasing for reuse of outer packages. For example, people will fill canisters with sachets repeatedly.

Even though, canistered wipes covers larger and larger market. As it is learned, some enterprises pack their multifunctional wipes into a slightly taper canister which is made from high-density PE. The package also adopts full-coverage shrink film. Such a canister can be larger and higher while its image is pretty normal, with lid being black and upper part being white.

2. Flexible and flat package

Cleansing products contacting skin are always in flexible and flat packages, which can be conveniently carried especially during travel. Every package can pack 5, 10, 30 or more pieces of wipes and these packages can always be seen in shops or markets. These wipes can be classified into two types.

One type is the wet tissues used for makeup removing, cleansing, skincare, nail care, to clean soft underwear, camera lens, screen or some fitness equipment, or the wipes used in some other special fields, such as scalp cleansing and hemorrhoids cleaning.

The other type is dry wipes commercially packed in plastics or flexibly and flatly packed wipes which are dry but can be wetted during usage.

Normally, application of flexible and flat package is soft cosmetics and sanitary disinfection products. Such a package can also pack glass bottles, droppers, spraying bottles and wipes. However, wipes can also packed in not only flat packages, but also canister as mentioned above, or larger packages.

Such packages have three kinds of openings, seal stickers, clamshell seal and hard plastic lens seal. The second one is actually an alternation of the first one. With it, wipes can stay wet even when the package has been opened for many times. The last one is more used for combination packaging.

3. Carton

Carton package mainly packs baby wipe since it is easy to be opened. A window is set at the top of carton and users can check how long wipes will run out. Material to make cartons can also be carefully selected for the sake of some consumers’ sensitive skin. On the other hand, products will attract economic consumers with their reusable package or parents with their convenience.

4. Single-piece package

Single-piece package is commonly seen in ordinary wipe or functional wipe packaging. The products in single-piece package can stay fresh and upgrade quality.

Some special cosmetics or products which is required to be protected should be packaged in single-piece package. Take AHA rejuvenating cotton and industrial wipes as example. It is packed in multiple layers and single-piece packages. For another thing, industrial wipes are also packaged in single-piece package since they are used only every few months. Therefore, technicians can use one piece without damaging freshness of other wipes of the same batch.

Anyway, testing should also be carried out to chemical solutions and wipe ingredients to find out any chemical reaction between them.

All in all, wipe producers and package suppliers have different understandings in their own fields. They can work together and make wipes somewhat convenient and attractive products.
