What is high barrier or high resistance material? Generally speaking, it can be defined as a material which can prevent the entering of another material. It is accepted that high barrier technology started in 1950s when American factories used PE film composite with metal foil as resistance material. However, until 1970s, high barrier material industry started to develop. After almost 40-year development and till now,high barrier materials can be classified into several types, including PVA, PVDC, EVOH, nylon, etc. Besides, PET is also a type of high barrier material, which is also our introduction object in the following.
