Classification of blister packing machine--flat type and roller type

Alu-PVC blister packing machines can be divided to roller-type and flat-type depending on their forming and heat sealing mode. On flat-type blister packing machine, blisters are formed through positive pressure and then heat sealed with alu foil by heat sealing boards and embossing boards. The boards can provide large pressure since their contact is planar. On the other hand, blisters are formed through vacuum and heat sealed by two parallel heat sealing/embossing rollers as they mesh with each others. The pressure provided by the rollers is comparably low because the contact between them is linear. Generally speaking, flat-type machine can do better than roller-type machine in forming performance, as well as heat sealing performance. But when it comes to heat sealing speed and reliability, roller-type machine is stronger. Despite these difference, however, we can find some common problems and solutions for these blister packing machines.

1. Check the possible fault for blister packing machine forming problem:

1) Whether PVC sheet is qualified.

2) Whether the heating temperature is moderate or not.

3) Whether there is PVC cohesion to the heating device.

4) Whether the forming mold is qualified, forming hole is smooth and whether the air hole is clear.

5) Whether the cooling system for the forming mold works normally and effectively.

6) Whether the vacuum degree and air outlet rate are normal and whether there is abnormal air consumption for the roller-type blister packing machine.

7) Whether the compressed air is clean and dry, its pressure and flow rate are normal and whether there is abnormal air consumption for flat-type blister packing machine.

8) Whether PVC sheet is held tightly by the forming mold and in parallel with it for flat-type blister packing machine.

1. Check the possible fault for blister packing machine heat sealing problem:

1) Whether alu foil is qualified and whether it is covered by hot melt adhesive on its heat sealing side.

2) Whether the heating temperature is moderate or not.

3) Whether PVC or alu foil is pulled obstructed.

4) Whether heat sealing mold is qualified, its surface is smooth and flat and whether the formed blisters can be exactly lapped round by the holes of embossing rollers/boards.

5) Whether the embossing lines on the embossing rollers/boards are clear and uniformly deep.

6) Whether the cooling system of the heat sealing mold works normally and effectively.

7) Whether the heat sealing pressure is normal.

8) Whether the heat sealing rollers/boards are in parallel with the embossing rollers/boards.
