1. Introduction for hypochlorous acid disinfectant

Dissolve salt in running water and then hypochlorous acid can be produced through solution electrolysis. The molecular formula of hypochlorous acid is HClO.

2. Sterilization

Hypochlorous acid obtains strong oxidability. It can oxidize and decompose amino acid of enzymatic protein of microorganisms. Therefore, these microorganisms are inactivated and killed due to metabolic disorders. Especially when most germs (bacteria and fungus) are prokaryotic organisms, their proteins are distributed on cell membrane and can be oxidized by hypochlorous acid.

3. Features

Different from other disinfectants, hypochlorous acid can sterilize physically. It can react with bacteria or virus to gain their electrons and then inactivate them. After reaction, water and small amount of other materials are produced. As a result, hypochlorous acid features no residue and no harm.

For another thing, compared with other disinfectants, hypochlorous acid can sterilize in 5-25 seconds quickly and its sterilization efficiency can reach 99.99%. Normally, the sterilization time of alcohol is 5-10 minutes and that of ultraviolet ray more than half hour.

Our body can also produce hypochlorous acid. Once we catch harmful bacteria or virus, our leukocyte can secrete the acid and inactivate these germs.

4. Application of hypochlorous acid disinfectant

Objects, fruits, vegetable and so on can be disinfected by spraying the acid on them, rinsing or wiping them with the acid or immersing them in the acid. Hypochlorous acid can be used directly without dilution. The user needn’t wear protection suit, neither. And after usage, no washing is needed. Besides, pH value of hypochlorous acid is 5-6.5. The disinfectant is slightly acid, colorless, non-irritating, safe and non-toxic.

1) Air disinfection: dilute one portion of stock solution with five portions of water and spray the diluted solution in the room to kill germs;

2) Floor disinfection: spray stock solution of hypochlorous acid on the floor or immerse the mop with the disinfectant and then wipe the floor;

3) Tableware or toys disinfection: dilute the stock solution in the ratio of 1:5 and then immerse the tableware or toys in the solution for 3 minutes;

4) Hand washing: dilute the stock hypochlorous acid in the ratio of 1:5 and then wash hands to for effect sterilization;

5) Fruit and vegetable disinfection and pesticide removing: immerse fruits and vegetable in the stock solution and then rinse away the disinfectant with clean water, which cannot only kill germs and also remove pesticide residue;

6) Meat and fish disinfection: immerse meat or fish with hypochlorous acid disinfectant, which can sterilize, as well as make meat and fish more tasty;

7) Other usage: treat bad breath with hypochlorous acid spraying (dilution ratio is 1:10) and bathe feet with the diluted solution (in the ratio of 1:5) to treat beriberi.

5. How to use hypochlorous acid disinfectant

1) Comfort the eyes by washing them repeatedly and timely with clean water when hypochrolous acid splashes onto the eyes;

2) Do not spray the stock solution into mouth for bad breath treatment but use it after dilution;

3) Store it away from the touch of kids and children. For hand washing, please dilute stock solution in the ratio of 1:10;

4) After dilution of stock solution, please run it out quickly. Store the remaining by keeping it away from light. (Higher temperature than 40 °C and direct sunshine will speed up hypoclorous acid decomposition.)

6. How to pack hypochlorous acid disinfectant
